What Is a Doji Candle?
A doji is a candle whose close is equal or very close to its open, so its body looks like a thin line.
Explained
A doji means buyers and sellers ended the period even. On its own it is not an entry signal, but after a strong move it can show hesitation and fading momentum, and it needs confirming by the next candle.
Example
Example with made-up numbersOpen 50.00, close 50.02, high 51.00, low 49.00. The body is only 0.02 against a 2.00 range, so it is a doji.
